Punching and bending tools / progressive tools

With decades of experience in punching and bending toolmaking, we take over your project from design through production to assembly and sampling. Using our CAD software Bihler NX, the 3D models are created, approved by the customer and then forwarded to production. After production and subsequent assembly, we can use our high-tech 60-ton press from Kyori to optimize the quality of the punching and bending parts produced and punch sample part series according to customer requirements. The finished, sampled tool is then sent directly to the customer.

Foil punching

We also have many years of experience in the design and construction of film/strip punches for the food packaging industry, such as packaging for Leerdammer cheese. With very small cutting gaps and specially ground punches, special expertise and experience is required. We offer complete project management from design to production and assembly. Our services also include the repair and regrinding of used film punches.

Construction

In our in-house design office we use the CAD software Siemens NX 12 including the Bihler software bNX. We also have a license for the CAD software SolidWorks. With this equipment we design progressive composite tools, foil cutting tools and Bihler systems for you. The only thing we need is a 3D model or a drawing of your desired punching and bending part. A strip layout is then developed from this data. As soon as this has been approved by the customer, the 3D model is designed taking into account all manufacturing aspects and the goal of producing as cost-effectively as possible. Once this design has been completed, drawings are created and the model data is exported as STEP, IGES, Parasolid or DXF and passed on to production. At the end, the customer receives the complete data set.

The Bihler LEANTOOL system (radial / progressive tooling) is a tool kit that allows new tools to be produced more easily, quickly and cheaply.

Contract manufacturing

We offer customers the opportunity to have components manufactured by us according to their wishes and their individual technical drawing. With our machine tools, including 5-axis CNC milling machines, CNC lathes with Y-axis and driven tools, wire and sinking EDM machines of the latest generation, surface and cylindrical grinding machines and even a CNC profile grinding machine, we can produce almost any desired geometry down to tolerances of a few thousandths of a millimeter.

Our batch sizes are set low, which means we can already produce a quantity of 1 and therefore also offer custom-made products.

Our quality is good, as shown by the loyalty of our customers, some of whom have been ordering from us for decades, including top-class companies such as Bosch, Liebherr and Grob.

HSC and ultrasonic technology

With our Ultrasonic 20 linear milling machine from Sauer, we can reach up to 42,000 revolutions per minute and, with the help of ultrasonic technology and diamond-studded grinding wheels, we can create particularly delicate and detailed shapes on 5 axes.

The materials that can be machined can be extremely hard and brittle. For example, all types of ceramics (e.g. silicon nitride, silicon carbide, zirconium oxide (ZrO2), aluminum oxide, glass ceramics, Zerodur), hard metal, titanium, glass, glassy carbon, cobalt-chromium (CoCr), ureol, corundum, and many other materials can be machined using this technology.

Applications for these precision parts includePrecision mechanics, the medical and dental industries, and aerospace engineering.

Space technology

The manufacture of components for the aerospace industry is close to our hearts. Since components in this segment have to have special properties such as high temperature resistance, low weight, etc., their complexity reaches unimagined heights in the truest sense of the word. A typical component is an inducer made of the material Inconel. We dare to tackle such complex parts, some of which can only be manufactured using 5-axis simultaneous machining, and have already successfully produced them several times for the emerging German aerospace industry.

Motorsport

We produce individual tuning and spare parts of all kinds for automobiles and motorcycles.

Production is carried out according to customer dimensions or sample parts made of solid material. Connecting rods are optionally made from special tempering steels or, in the case of racing engines, from grade 5 titanium (corresponds to a high-strength titanium alloy used in aircraft construction). Providing bearing shells is an advantage.
